In the age of digital love stories, we met the way most people do… through work! Both of us met during transitional times at American Airlines, with Alicia being new in an HR role and Dominic in a new position within his labor union. Through our new roles, we both had an opportunity to interact with each other on a normal and frequent basis. Dominic’s curly hair drew Alicia in (we used to swap hair product recommendations!) and eventually Dominic asked Alicia to get together outside work. From here, the story of “Us” started to unfold; we’re so grateful that you all are willing to be a part of it!

The 4th of July weekend of 2022 found Alicia and Dominic quarantined together, both positive for COVID. By this time Dominic had been in possession of the ring for a while, still figuring out the right way to do so. On the evening of the 4th the fireworks seemed the perfect backdrop, but the lack of a good view kept the ring in Dominic's pocket. The proposal finally presented itself on the morning of July 6th where Dominic asked Alicia to marry her after making her favorite meal, breakfast. The cozy morning was full of joy (and a few happy tears,) and there could not have been a better way to start this new chapter in our lives!
